Jasmine Arisandy is a student at Briar Woods High School and the Academies of Loudoun. An avid artist, reader, orator, and writer, she is deeply passionate about storytelling in all its forms, and believes poetry is one of the most powerful ways to make people feel seen. Beyond the arts, she also has a deep love for science, politics, and advocacy, and hopes to blend these disciplines to explore connection, curiosity, and the human experience.
The Loudoun Youth Poet Laureate Program is pleased to announce the following young poets as the 2026 Loudoun Youth Poet Laureate Ambassaors: Amanda-Pearl
Omoigui, Gia Mehta, Rebecca King, Pranavi Chilukuri, Nishant Varala, and Tvisha Seelam.

During her time as the Loudoun Youth Poet Laureatee, Krisha Dotiwalla attended Briar Woods High School in Ashburn, Virginia. Her poetry is inspired through her experiences and all that is around her, pulling parts of art from her experiences as a classical Indian dancer, a pianist, and a writer(of course). She hopes to use her poetry to bring a rise in the current generation of inspired youth and that in a time like now, where it has never been more difficult to be authentically you, she can help to create a community of people, from all walks of life, who feel connected against all struggles. She wishes to see a world where we are united and where we rise to move forward together. Words are our greatest form of expression, and she hopes to inspire and create with each syllable, to spread the love of this art form with as many people as possible.
